Tree Characteristics:
- A tree of medium size, reaching 75ft in height and prouducing a trunk up to 2ft 6" in diameter
 
Characteristics of the wood:
- A straight grained fine textured wood, it is not as hard and strong as hard maple.
 - The wood is lustrous and light creamy brown in colour, It has good steam bending properties.
 - Not naturally durable for outdoor use.
